AAF/NJ President/CEO S. Clark Speaks at Women Presidents Organization Annual Conference

On February 27th, Sondra R. Clark, President/CEO of the African American Fund, formerly the Black United Fund, spoke at the Women Presidents Organization conference in San Franciso, CA.

The workshop entitled, Philanthropic Leadership, sought to model best practices in creating foundations, supporting nonprofits, and understanding leadership roles and responsibliities while serving an organization. Another object was to recognize the benefits of charitable leadership in the community and the impact it has on business.

Ms. Clark spoke along other experts, including Barbara M. Washington, Vice President, Philanthropic Consultant, Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management, Merrill Lynch Trust Company, Meryl Unger, Esanu Katsky Korins & Siger, LLP. The workshop facilitator was Jane Applegate from The Applegate Group.
